    Eligibility Mid-career scientists:
    - Professors or senior researchers
    - Individuals who have contributed to the development of the Korea Genome Organization as executives or steering committee members
    - Regular members of the Korea Genome Organization for at least 5 years
    Prize 5,000,000 KRW

Nomination and Evaluation Process
01Nomination

A regular member may nominate one candidate using the designated form (self-nomination is allowed)
A nominator cannot nominate more than one candidate in the same field

02Eligibility assessment

The secretariat reviews the eligibility of the nominated candidates

03Achievement Evaluation

The Academic Award Selection Committee evaluates the excellence of the nominees' representative research achievements

Recipient Benefits
  • One recipient is selected every year
  • Recipients are honored with a plaque and a cash prize, presented during the KOGO Winter Symposium
  • Awardees deliver an award lecture equivalent to a keynote address at the KOGO Winter Symposium (scheduled ~)
  • All awardees are required to publish a research paper or review article in Genomics & Informatics, after receiving the award
