Cole Trapnell is a Professor of Genome Sciences at the University of Washington. His lab develops and applies single-cell genomic technologies and computational methods to understand how genes and signaling pathways control cell fate and development. He is widely recognized for pioneering tools for single-cell transcriptomics, including Monocle, which has been broadly used to reconstruct cellular differentiation trajectories. His current work combines large-scale perturbation experiments, developmental biology, and AI-based modeling to study how vertebrate genomes encode embryonic development.

Single-cell biology has transformed our picture of cellular diversity—but what comes into view below the level of the whole cell? In this plenary lecture, Professor Junhyong Kim (University of Pennsylvania) micro-dissects the dendrites of individual mouse and rat neurons to catalog their locally translated mRNAs. Strikingly, this dendritic transcriptome diverges faster across species than that of the cell body, even as its functions remain conserved—pointing to a "mosaic evolution" model within the compartments of a single neuron.

이번 제35회 KOGO 정기학술대회의 Young Scientist Session 및 KOGO Graduate Presentation Session은 학생, 포닥, 연구교수 등 신진 연구 인력의 최근 연구 결과를 구두 발표하는 자리입니다. 

구두발표 신청자 중 1차 심사를 통해 각 세션의 발표자를 선정하며, 2차 심사를 통해 우수 발표자를 선정해 상장과 상금을 수여할 예정입니다.
